As a retired professor of Business and Internet Technology, I nominated Martin Price, of Boca Raton, Florida, for what I believe is a well-deserved *Wikipedia Page highlighting his career and accomplishments as an entrepreneur, marketer, business consultant, real estate developer, author, award-winning speechwriter, debator and lecturer. He has created, co-created or re-branded many now-famous innovations and new companies including Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort, Camp Coast-to-Coast, (RCI) Resort Condominiums International, WeBuyHouses.com and The Realty Connexion.
After serving in the United States Army Security Agency, in Washington, D.C. and Frankfort, Germany as a foreign language communication and interrogation specialist and then graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1966 (where he was awarded a coveted South Carolina Foundation, Atlantic Coast Conference Debate Scholarship) he returned to Washington where he attended Catholic University Law School on Capitol Hill and managed the Congressional Campaign of Seymore Spellman in Maryland’s 8th Congressional District.
Soon thereafter, he started acquiring rural acreage in nearby Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley, which he sub-divided and developed into vacation and resort lots and tracts which were then sold to city folks in the Washington and Baltimore markets.
In 1971 Price began developing a 2,500 lot campground on the Potomac River in West Virginia, near Hagerstown, MD, 60 minutes west of DC, (for which he negotiated approval from Hannah-Barbera, Screen Gems and Columbia Pictures) to christen “Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp Resort” and thereby developed what is believed to be the first time a land sales operation was identifiable as a well-known, well-liked, credible theme (Yogi Bear, Boo-Boo, Ranger Smith and Andy Devine from Central Casting – all attended the official ground breaking! https://lasvegasinquirer.com/b30c6878betid118-yogi-bear-s-jellystone-park-camp-resort-lot-sales-celebrates-50-years . It is evident that several pages are rejected on Article for creation and deleted everyday, the reach of Wikipedia is limited and Wikitia seems to have an edge over Wikipedia as well. Both Wikipedia and Wikitia pages are resulting in Google Knowledge Panel. Both Wikipedia and Wikitia pages are considered as reliable sources of Information on the search engines. Search engines are using rich semantics from Wikitia to the corresponding resources. This key difference in basic assumptions about what each site is, results in a dramatic divergence in the level of detail each site offers. The Wikipedia editors approve or reject any edit, any page based on their personal experience, which is not verified and often disguise the users.
